… I voted; now I wait …

The people of God should grieve at the horrible reality of abortion, just as the people of God in the ancient world should’ve grieved over the sacrifice of children, and just as God himself grieves over it. One thing this election might do for Christians, as my friend John H. Armstrong reminded me of tonight, is spur them to put more energy into grass-roots level involvement of the church to build relationships with pregnant women and invest in their lives with love and support. If abortion is legal, like many other sins, the church will have to save lives without the intervention of the government. The hope of the world is not the government, although we as Christians should be fully engaged in all means to be good stewards of God’s creation.

So we vote … and we wait ….
